G4/G2 Continental Championships are open for all WTF MNA's this year, and Kazakhstan offered its para-taekwondo team for the second time to European Continental Championships. "It's a good chance to increase the level of competition at Championships, and also gives opportunity to all the athletes in the world to get more ranking points participating in a bigger number of para-taekwondo events," - EPTU President Mr. Aleksand Shlychkov says.
The Championships will count the first ranking tournament in Europe, with European athletes awarded set to receive G4 ranking points. Athletes from other continents will earn G2 ranking points at the tournament.
Since January, 2014, EPTU has been a hosting party for WTF International Classification Research and Courses. During the 3rd European Para-taekwondo Championships EPTU suggested and organized the very 1st International Classifier Course. 4 candidates from 3 European Countries were accepted by WTF Head of Classification and successfully finished courses. This year EPTU again hosts already 3rd WTF Classifier Course and will welcome two more new candidates to Classifiers. Totally there will be trainees from 3 countries: Russia, Romania and Spain.
