The Executive Committee of the International Paralympic Committee approved the medal program and the number of participants in the XVI Paralympic Summer Games of 2020 in Tokyo (Japan) during the meeting held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 3 to 4 September.

In June 2016 ETU Council Member, Mr. Evgeny Klyuchnikov welcomed RTU President Mr. Anatoly Terekhov and ETU delegation with the head of it President Sakis Paragalos in Ulyanovsk, Russia. The Government signed an assignment with ETU to open ETU Para Taekwondo Representative office in the city. The parties collaborated to host European Para Taekwondo Championships together with Russian Taekwondo Cup in the huge modern Ice Palace “Volga-Sport-Arena”.

The World Taekwondo Union (WTE) elections were successfully held at the ETU General Assembly 2017 that was realized in at the Concerto Hall, Carnival Culture Palace B1,Muju, South Korea, on Friday 23 June 2017. During the same day all the continental Taekwondo Unions and the World Taekwondo realized their elections, scheduled every 4-year period.

Australian Steven Currie also won the men’s under 75kg K42 at the Oceania Para Taekwondo Open.
